Position Overview

Role: Certified Medical Assistant

Focus: Specializing in Pain Management

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing patient care and treatment processes.
  • Utilize computer software effectively, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR), with a preference for eClinicalWorks.
  • Manage Medication and Procedure Authorizations.
  • Provide excellent customer service by answering phone calls and greeting patients.
  • Maintain and organize patient medical records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Process insurance claims and coding accurately.
  • Schedule patient appointments and coordinate referrals for laboratory services.
  • Handle correspondence and administrative tasks efficiently.
  • Collect medical histories and vital signs from patients.
  • Communicate treatment procedures clearly to patients.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and assist physicians during procedures, with a preference for knowledge of C-Arm technology.
  • Conduct basic laboratory tests, particularly Urine Drug Screening (UDS).
  • Educate patients regarding their medications and treatment plans.

Employment Type: Full-time, Internship, Contract

Compensation: $21.00 per hour
