Job Summary
Nash County, NC is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Part-Time Parks Maintenance Aide III. As a key member of our parks and recreation team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the operation and maintenance of our parks and athletic fields.
Key Responsibilities
- Work independently and as part of a team to complete assignments in a safe and efficient manner.
- Prepare athletic fields for events and activities, including mowing, trimming, and edging.
- Operate a variety of equipment, including tractors, mowers, and hand tools.
- Clean and maintain park facilities, including restrooms and trash containers.
- Perform other grounds and park facility care duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work independently and responsibly, as well as part of a team.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to respond appropriately to emergencies and document incidents.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions and work outside in all types of weather.
Working Conditions
This is a part-time position that requires working outdoors in all types of weather. The successful candidate will be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
