Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following basic requirements:

  • Educational Background: A degree in professional engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Experience: A combination of education and relevant experience that demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of the physical and mathematical sciences underpinning professional engineering.
  • Professional Registration: Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) is preferred.

Additional Requirements:
Applicants must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service, which includes:

  • Experience in developing and reviewing engineering solutions.
  • Proficiency in coordinating design efforts with other professionals.
  • Ability to evaluate and implement engineering solutions effectively.

National Service Experience:
Experience gained through paid or unpaid work, including volunteer roles in National Service programs, will be considered valuable.

This position may necessitate a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) and may involve occasional overtime work.
