Role:
The Assistant HVAC Service Technician plays a crucial role in the upkeep of light-commercial and commercial heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems, along with their associated controls. This position also supports Senior Service Technicians and HVACR Service Technicians when tasks require additional personnel. Responsibilities include performing work assigned by the Service Manager and/or Service Coordinator, maintaining detailed and accurate records of all tasks completed, and effectively communicating work status with relevant parties. Additionally, this role may involve the upkeep of a fully equipped service vehicle, which is taken home overnight. This is a full-time, non-exempt hourly position.

Min Compensation
USD $20.00/Hr.
Max Compensation

Responsibilities:
- Operating company vehicles for travel to and from job sites as needed.
- Maintaining light-commercial and commercial HVACR systems and controls.
- Assisting Service Technicians with the inspection and repair of HVACR systems.
- Sourcing parts and tools from local suppliers as required.
- Coordinating and communicating effectively with team members on-site.
- Updating job status with customer representatives and property managers.
- Keeping accurate and timely job records to inform the office of work progress.
- Adhering to schedules and tasks assigned by the Service Manager and Service Coordinator.
- Following safety, quality, and productivity standards as outlined by the Lead Service Technician.
- Complying with service procedures established by customer service staff.
- Participating in necessary training and testing programs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- EPA Certification is mandatory.
- NATE ICE certification is required.
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is essential.
- Experience in a construction environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with smartphones, computers, tablets, and related software is advantageous.
- Ability to engage in light to moderate physical activity for extended periods in outdoor conditions.
- Capability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting objects up to 75 lbs.
- Willingness to travel away from home for extended periods is preferred.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are preferred.
- Standard working hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with the potential for up to 50 hours per week based on workload demands.
