Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Wound Care Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our medical group, you will be responsible for providing and managing advanced wound care to patients in various settings, including homebound patients and long-term care facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough physical exams of patients to assess their wound care needs.
- Select, order, and perform tests and procedures to develop effective treatment plans.
- Perform wound care procedures, including debridement and application of topical wound care products.
- Document patient diagnoses and treatment plans in accordance with our 6-Step Treatment Protocol.
- Recommend medications and wound care dressings to facilitate wound healing and prevention.
- Ensure patient satisfaction by delivering exceptional care and support.
- Provide patient education and management to promote optimal wound care outcomes.
- Collaborate with our team to improve training methods and achieve company goals.
- Travel to patients' homes and long-term care facilities as needed.
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Program.
- Current valid state license to practice medicine as an NP/PA.
- Board Certification and proof of certification.
- Prior wound care experience and/or wound care certification.
- Patient-centric approach and excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency with medical instruments and equipment.
- Ability to communicate effectively and lift 50 lbs or more.
- Valid and unrestricted driver's license.
This is a W2 part-time position with a total compensation potential starting at $80,000 annually. Additional compensation is available for patient visits in excess of the minimum contracted requirement and for advanced biologic wound care.
We offer mileage reimbursement and the support of Wound Care Certified Nurses for consultation.
