U-Haul is seeking a skilled Facility Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our facilities, equipment, and vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:- Inspect and maintain buildings, equipment, and vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Perform general maintenance, installation, repair, and service tasks as needed.
- Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and semiannual roof inspections at various sites.
- Effectively work with a variety of hand and power tools.
- Collaborate with other technicians to accomplish complex projects.
- Complete work requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Manage company truck and gas card.
- Participate in ongoing continuous education through U-Haul University.
- Experience in electrical, A/C, HVAC, plumbing, or landscaping.
- Valid driver's license.
- D.O.T certification (can be sponsored by U-Haul).
The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g. working around moving parts, machines, fumes or irritant chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields.
The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods both indoors and outdoors while remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools and moving a minimum of 50 lbs assisted or unassisted.
