Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join our research team in the Department of Chemical, Paper and Biomedical Engineering. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to explore the use of tissue-engineered ovarian constructs to prevent or reverse osteoporosis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Aid in conducting and planning research studies in coordination with the principal investigator
  • Analyze experimental data and maintain laboratory notebooks
  • Communicate findings to the principal investigator and other project collaborators
  • Participate in project meetings and aid in preparing technical reports
  • Give presentations at scientific conferences and write manuscripts for peer-reviewed publications
  • Aid in preparing grant applications and mentor undergraduate and graduate students
Requirements

A Ph.D. in an area of the biomedical sciences (biomedical engineering, biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or zoology) or a closely related field is required. Consideration may be given to candidates with demonstrated expertise through peer-reviewed publications in areas such as biomaterials, cell biology, immunology, endocrinology, and women's health.

Strong communication skills and experience in cell isolation, cell culture, immunohistochemistry, genomics, and/or rodent models of disease are highly desirable.
