About the Role

RK&K's Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) and Construction Management Division is seeking a highly skilled Construction Engineering Inspector to join our team in the Lake Okeechobee, FL area. As a Construction Engineering Inspector with RK&K, you will play a crucial role in leading and strengthening our construction engineering and inspection business, including highway, bridge, and design/build projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Project Administrator in daily roadway inspection and ensure contractor compliance alongside quality control.
  • Perform verification inspections and testing as required, including earthwork, asphalt, concrete, bridge, and miscellaneous structures, toll facilities, lighting, signalization, environmental compliance, maintenance of traffic, etc.
  • Provide general supervision and instruction for the CEI Inspectors on the projects.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent plus two (2) years of experience in construction inspection.
  • CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level I.
  • CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I and Level II.
  • CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I and Level II.
  • CTQP Drilled Shaft.
  • CTQP Final Estimates I.
  • FDOT Intermediate MOT.
  • IMSA Traffic Signal Inspector.
Preferred Qualifications
  • BS in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Previous senior roadway inspection experience.
