Additionally, the operator may need to manually handle and store items when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prioritize Health and Safety by adhering to all established safe work practices and policies.
  • Conduct chemical consolidation and bulking as required.
  • Ensure proper waste packaging to optimize efficiency and compliance.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Participate in spill response activities as needed.
  • Inspect containers for integrity and compliance with regulations.
  • Operate a sit-down forklift safely.
  • Load and unload trailers while adhering to DOT and Hazardous Materials regulations.
  • Assist with various California Chemical operations as required.
  • Complete receiving documentation and data entry into the inventory management system.
  • Utilize various material handling equipment for transporting goods.
  • Sort and stock materials, ensuring accurate product identification and damage inspection.
  • Maintain comprehensive inventory control across all storage facilities.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Deliver materials internally to designated locations.
  • Keep accurate logs and records in accordance with departmental standards.
  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols and documentation practices.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in hazardous materials handling or warehouse operations.
  • Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Physical capability to meet job demands.
  • Forklift operation certification is preferred.
  • Availability for occasional overtime.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: Starting at $20.00 per hour

  • Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM, with occasional weekends as needed.

Experience:

  • 3 years in warehouse operations preferred.

Certification:
