Job Summary:

An Accounting Payroll Specialist at Black Desert Resort is responsible for managing the payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely transactions. This role reports to the Assistant Director of Finance and maintains financial integrity and compliance with regulatory requirements.



Location: Onsite at a luxurious resort

Shift & Schedule: Year-Round / Full Time

Estimated Salary: $48,000 - $60,000 per year

Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll for all resort employees accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Maintain payroll records, including employee data, timekeeping, deductions, and benefits.
  • Calculate and process special payroll transactions, such as bonuses, overtime, and terminations.
  • Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and management, providing information and resolving issues promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, staying updated on changes in legislation.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management, highlighting key metrics and any discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure accurate employee information and seamless payroll processes.
  • Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation and distribution.
  • Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare journal entries for the accounting system.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing or accounting, preferably in a hospitality or resort setting.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll practices, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency with payroll software and accounting systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Certification in payroll is a plus.
