Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare surgical instruments and supplies for procedures
  • Ensure the operating room is ready and fully stocked
  • Assist in scrubbing, gowning, and gloving for the surgical team
  • Accurately count surgical sponges, needles, and instruments
  • Handle surgical instruments with precision
  • Anticipate the needs of the surgical team
  • Label all medications and solutions appropriately
  • Assist in the preparation of sterile tables and rooms
  • Maintain and update the surgeons' preference cards
  • Facilitate clean-up procedures between surgical cases

  • Familiarity with nursing processes and standards of care
