Position Overview
At Wally's Operating Company LLC, our asset protection team plays a crucial role in safeguarding our resources by ensuring adherence to internal control protocols and regulations through vigilant store monitoring, inspections, and oversight of designated team members.

Effective asset protection associates possess the ability to operate independently or collaboratively in small groups with minimal oversight, all while fostering an exceptional customer experience at Wally's.
Key Responsibilities

The primary functions of this role encompass, but are not limited to:
  • Mitigating theft and inventory loss at the front of the store by conducting receipt verifications as necessary.
  • Addressing loss and damage by reporting discrepancies to management; educating violators on policies and procedures.
  • Reacting to and accurately documenting incidents related to asset protection.
  • Executing effective merchandise recoveries and providing apprehension assistance as required, strictly following asset protection policies and directives from leadership.
  • Monitoring trends and implementing solutions to combat inventory shrinkage.
  • Comprehending and utilizing all video surveillance systems appropriately.
  • Implementing shortage action plans established by leadership to reduce losses in targeted areas.
  • Delivering service and a shopping experience that aligns with guest expectations.
  • Promoting a culture of ethical behavior, safety, and compliance.
  • Working safely at all times to protect oneself and others; identifying and rectifying hazards; adhering to all safety policies and best practices.
  • Maintaining uniform standards and presenting a polished appearance.
  • Carrying out additional duties as assigned.
  • Exhibiting flexibility in scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Prior experience in retail, customer service, or asset protection is advantageous.

A high school diploma or GED is preferred.

Capability to read and understand basic instructions, brief correspondence, and memos.

Ability to communicate and/or compose simple correspondence.

Must thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Team members are frequently required to stand or walk for up to 8 hours; they often use their hands for various tasks and reach with their arms. Occasionally, team members may need to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and engage in verbal communication. They must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
