Job Description

At FinDec, we are seeking a highly skilled Portfolio Manager and Trader to oversee the management of investment assets within our portfolio and execute trades in securities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic asset allocation strategies to achieve investment objectives and manage risk effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic asset allocation strategies to achieve investment objectives and manage risk effectively.
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of investment assets, making adjustments as needed to maximize returns and minimize risks.
  • Execute trades in securities within the portfolio, including equities, fixed income, and alternative investments, to implement investment strategies and achieve desired portfolio outcomes.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis of financial markets, economic trends, and investment opportunities to inform portfolio decisions.
  • Perform due diligence on potential investment opportunities, including evaluating financial statements, assessing market conditions, and analyzing risk factors.
  • Implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential losses and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on portfolio performance, including detailed analysis and recommendations for future actions.
  • Collaborate with other team members, including portfolio managers, traders, and analysts, to coordinate investment strategies and achieve common goals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA, CFA) preferred.
  • Proven experience in portfolio management or asset management roles, with a strong track record of delivering superior investment results.
  • Deep understanding of financial markets, investment principles, and asset classes (equities, fixed income, alternatives, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Strong quantitative skills, including proficiency in financial modeling and statistical analysis.
  • Exceptional decision-making abilities, with a focus on balancing risk and return objectives.
  • Experience executing trades in securities and familiarity with trading platforms and systems.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting.
  • FINRA Series 7 and 63 license in good standing.
