Mobile Phlebotomy Specialist

VIP Labs LLC. is seeking a skilled Mobile Phlebotomist to join our team in the Illinois Area. As a Mobile Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for providing blood collection services to patients within a designated geographic region.

• Drive from location to location and ensure timely arrival at pre-determined locations for blood collection.
• Perform standardized and specialized phlebotomy procedures on patients of all ages in a safe, accurate, and professional manner, and transport collected specimens to the appropriate drop-off location.
• Use a personal vehicle to travel to patients' homes and specimen drop-off locations.

• Follow safety protocols, laboratory standards, and policies to ensure quality assurance and quality improvement.
• Perform blood draws using venipuncture according to standard protocol, ensuring patient safety and quality specimen collection.
• Provide patient instruction for sample collection.
• Responsible for disposal of blood drawing equipment according to health and safety regulations.
• Ensure proper container type, centrifugation, and transportation and/or shipping of specimens.
• Perform specimen duties such as aliquoting urine and separating blood samples when required for testing and use of a portable centrifuge.
• Pre-analytical duties include sample processing and preparing specimens for transport/shipping.
• Ability to provide top-quality, error-free work.
• Maintain an adequate inventory of all supplies.
• Use and wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as necessary to perform job duties safely and minimize risk.
