We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Automotive Service Writer to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals who share your passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Your primary responsibility will be to greet customers and provide them with a positive service experience. You will act as a liaison between the customer and the service technicians, ensuring efficient and timely communication throughout the service process.
The estimated annual salary for this position is $50,000 - $65,000, depending on experience. Benefits include competitive compensation packages, health benefits, 401(k), paid vacation, and opportunities for advancement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure a seamless experience from greeting to completion of services
- Act as a liaison between customers and service technicians, facilitating efficient communication and timely resolution of issues
- Recommend necessary automotive repairs and services to customers
- Provide customers with accurate estimates for repairs and services
- Schedule appointments and maintain an organized service schedule
- Communicate with service technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs and services
- Keep customers informed of progress and any changes to the service timeline
- Collect payments from customers and handle financial transactions
- Follow up with customers after service to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns
- Maintain customer records and update them as needed
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as an Automotive Service Writer preferred
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Knowledge of automotive maintenance and repairs
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
- Proficient in computer software and technology
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
