About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Defensive Innovation Group, where you'll work with a talented team to prevent, detect, and respond to cyber threats. Your expertise in machine learning, automation, and cloud development will be instrumental in enhancing MITRE's cybersecurity program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement advanced analytics to detect and respond to cyber threats
  • Leverage machine learning to identify new and novel attacks
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation platforms and enhance detection capabilities
  • Design and develop cloud-based cybersecurity analytics and response capabilities
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging threats and technologies to inform our cybersecurity strategy

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in defensive cybersecurity operations, cyber incident response, or related fields
  • Proficiency in Python or comparable modern language
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Active Secret clearance
  • Experience with machine learning, artificial intelligence, and cloud development
  • Knowledge of Security, Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) tools
