Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Registered Nurses or Physicians in executing specialized tasks and responsibilities.
  • Deliver prescribed nursing care to assigned clients.
  • Engage in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of client care in collaboration with an RN.
  • Provide health education and support clients and families in mastering self-care techniques.
  • Document and communicate findings accurately and promptly in accordance with agency policies.
  • Maintain records of services, client conditions, and responses to treatments.
  • Adhere to safety protocols in compliance with OSHA, CHAP, and federal and state regulations.
  • Prepare clinical and progress documentation.
  • Operate medical equipment correctly for client care.
  • Exhibit knowledge and skills necessary for delivering appropriate client care.
  • Execute medical orders promptly.
  • Identify and report changes in client conditions and potential issues in a timely manner.
  • Practice good hygiene and aseptic techniques.
  • Perform client care duties competently and safely, including administering medications and conducting procedures as per agency guidelines.
  • Demonstrate understanding of growth and development principles across the lifespan.
  • Contribute to the Performance Improvement program by providing feedback and suggestions.
  • Keep management informed about potential concerns or issues.
  • Understand the scope of the company's services.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings as required.
  • Submit clinical documentation punctually in line with agency policies.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor.
  • Utilize effective phone communication skills.
  • Encourage a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors while ensuring client confidentiality.
  • Participate in on-call schedules as needed.
  • Engage in accreditation processes.

Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited LPN program is required, along with a minimum of one year of nursing experience. Home care experience is preferred.

Licenses and Certifications:
Current LPN license in the State of Florida, CPR certification, valid driver's license, and auto insurance. Completion of 25 CEUs bi-annually is also required.

Work Environment:
Office/Home setting with potential exposure to biological hazards.
