Job Title: Nurse Practitioner - Behavioral Health Specialist

Beebe Healthcare is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team as a Behavioral Health Specialist. This is a grant-funded, term-limited position through December 2026.

Job Summary:

The Community Outreach Population Health Nurse Practitioner (NP) will provide primary health care and behavioral health services as a member of a healthcare team comprised of Behavioral Health and Community Outreach RNs, Peers, Community Health Workers, and drivers.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive patient care, including assessment, treatment planning and implementation, counseling and education of patients and their families.
  • Collect and record data in a comprehensive, accurate, and systemic manner.
  • Analyze patient data and formulate an individualized plan of care based on patient assessment and needs.
  • Comprehensive patient care, including assessment, treatment planning and implementation, counseling and education of patients and their families.
  • Manage common acute and chronic illnesses, including minor trauma, episodic problems, and common chronic disorders.
  • Administer vaccines according to accepted guidelines and prescribe medications as appropriate.
  • Prescribe Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), including buprenorphine.
  • Maintain knowledge of clinical protocols and best practice guidelines.
Requirements:
  • NP - Nurse Practitioner
  • Graduate of a registered approved Nurse Practitioner (NP) Program
  • Completion of required State/National Certification Programs
  • Current licensure and registration in the State of Delaware, Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner, and DEA license.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • PMHNP - Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
  • At least 1 year of experience in the field of addiction medicine preferred but not required.

  • Clear Communication Skills Both Written And Verbal
  • Knowledge Of Basic Computer Programs
  • Able To Keep Confidential Information Regarding Patients, Team Members
  • Able To Withstand Crisis Situations
  • Has Skills To Provides Customer Service To Patients, Team Members And Visitors
Credentials:
  • NP - Nurse Practitioner
  • BLS - Basic Life Saving certification
Education:

Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.

Other Information:

This is a casual position that has the opportunity to grow. The goal is to connect with patients who are unable to get to a Beebe Healthcare facility so we can bring care to them.
