Job Title: Orthopedic Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Orthopedic Nurse to join our team at Wellington Regional Medical Center. As an Orthopedic Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide safe and effective nursing care to patients with orthopedic conditions, including fractures, joint replacements, and musculoskeletal disorders.
  • Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, develop individualized care plans, and implement evidence-based interventions to promote optimal health outcomes.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between departments.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs, administer medications, and perform various medical procedures as needed.
  • Document patient information accurately and thoroughly, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a current Florida RN license.
  • At least one year of experience in an acute care setting, preferably in orthopedic nursing.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and ACLS certification (or willingness to obtain within three months).
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
