Avera, a renowned healthcare organization, seeks a skilled Medical Assistant to join its team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care in a clinic setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist healthcare professionals in providing patient care, including vital signs, medical histories, and treatment plans.
  • Develop long-term relationships with patients, fostering a positive and supportive environment.
  • Collaborate with clinic staff to resolve practice-related issues and improve patient outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Graduate from a Medical Assistant program with an Associate's degree or diploma preferred.
  • Six months to one year of related experience and/or training preferred.

Certifications and Licensure:

  • National Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAAMA); or
  • National Registration as a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through the American Medical Technologist (AMT); or
  • National Certification as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through the National Health Career Association and Medical Assistant diploma.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
  • Occasional weekend shifts
  • Full-time, 80 hours every two weeks

Compensation:
The hourly range for this position is $27.00 per hour, dependent on experience.
