Machinist III

As a Machinist III, you'll play a critical role in our mission by setting up and operating mill and lathe machines with minimal supervision. You'll inspect aerospace and industrial system components to ensure conformance to engineering requirements and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC machines for production of aerospace and industrial components.
• Understand and maintain Donaldson Quality Policies and Procedures.
• Inspect manufactured products for uniformity and conformance.
• Initiate non-conforming material rejection reports.
• Perform basic machine maintenance as required.

Requirements:

• High school diploma/GED and a minimum of four (4) or five (5) years of related experience in lieu of education.
• Ability to inspect own parts.
• Familiarity with Mastercam programming software.
• Ability to inspect the work of, and train other employees.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in a safe and prudent manner.

Technical Competencies:

• Ability to demonstrate intellectual skills through analytical reasoning, problem solving skills, development of technical skills, and innovative solutions.
• Ability to demonstrate mechanical aptitude in the use of all hand tools, and inspection equipment.
• Ability to read and understand all levels of blueprint features and machine shop routers.
• Ability to read, understand, and edit G and M code programming.
