Job Summary:

The Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a crucial role in identifying, attracting, and selecting top talent for employment at UNC Health Care. This position requires a deep understanding of the labor market, recruitment tools, and the organization's operations and total rewards.

Key Responsibilities:

Screen candidates for required qualifications, compensation needs, and job fit.

Collaborate with hiring authorities to ensure understanding and messaging of employment value proposition (EVP). Participate in the development of descriptive, engaging job descriptions for recruitment and performance management.

Source passive candidates through direct and indirect outreach using creative, data-driven research. Post and monitor job postings across internal and external careers sites.

Safeguard effective and equitable compensation models through the recommendation of pay rates during construction and issuance of offers.

Deliver verbal and written offers of employment, articulating the total rewards and inherent appeal of the organization and role.

Negotiate with candidates and hiring authorities as needed regarding terms of employment.

Organize and attend career fairs and other talent access events. Develop long-term talent pipelines through collaboration with educational and community partners.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience managing a full-lifecycle recruitment work statement in a third-party or corporate role.

Experience working in an applicant tracking system (ATS)

Experience with sourcing and direct outreach to passive candidates.

Experience working in the healthcare industry.

Experience authoring job descriptions for long-term use.

Certification in Human Resources, such as Society for Human Resources Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Professional in Human Resources (PHR) as issued by the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI).
