Qualifications for Personal Support Specialists:
- Must possess certification as a Nurse Assistant or Patient Care Associate, along with State-approved Home Health Aide credentials.
- Dependable, honest, tactful, patient, intelligent, responsible, compassionate, emotionally stable, cheerful, and understanding.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to work collaboratively, willingness to perform routine tasks, and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
- Must not be a legally responsible relative of the client.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing assistance with personal care tasks and monitoring clients' overall health status.
- Administering medications as prescribed.
- Preparing meals, performing light housekeeping, running errands, and offering transportation services.
- Executing tasks assigned by the RN supervisor and accurately documenting activities.
- Reporting any significant changes in the client's condition to the RN supervisor.
