Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Barista to join our team at Thomas Cuisine. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages and providing exceptional customer service to our patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Beverage Preparation: Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages according to recipes and quality standards.
  • Customer Service: Provide friendly, personalized service to customers, responding to inquiries and resolving complaints in a professional manner.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized café environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and restock supplies, ensuring inventory levels are maintained.
  • Cash Handling and POS Operation: Handle transactions accurately using the POS system and balance cash drawers.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively with team members and hospital staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Menu Knowledge: Stay informed about menu items and make recommendations based on customer preferences.
  • Special Requests: Accommodate dietary needs and prepare beverage orders for hospital events.
  • Professional Development: Participate in training to enhance barista skills and stay updated on industry trends.
Requirements
  • Previous barista experience preferred, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food and beverage service.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to collaborate with a diverse team.
