Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Diagnostic Imaging team at Sutter Health. As a Pediatric Anesthesia Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct and indirect patient care to diagnostic imaging patients and their families, utilizing the nursing processes of comprehensive patient assessment, development and implementation of nursing care plans, and ongoing evaluation.
  • Deliver holistic and individualized care to all patients in assigned area, taking into consideration protective interventions, development (behavioral and physical) and physiological characteristics specific to the patients.
  • Develop, implement, and coordinate an optimal interdisciplinary plan of care that incorporates psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and life-style factors.
  • Foster and maintain collaborative relationships between patients, their family/support group, physicians, and other healthcare providers through timely and effective communications.
  • Adhere to policies, industry standards, best practices, and applicable laws/regulations and codes to promote a quality, highly reliable patient experience.
  • Engage in continuous growth and development in professional nursing practice.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • RN-Registered Nurse of California.
  • ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider.
  • PALS-Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
  • 2 years recent relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of current trends in nursing.
  • Commitment to excellence in patient care.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrates accountability and professionalism.
  • Adapts to change in a positive, professional, and productive manner.
  • Knowledge of legal implications in clinical practice and documentation.
  • Knowledge of performance improvement and evidence-based practice.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
  • Experience working with all age groups.
  • Cardiac Imaging knowledge.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Ability to utilize medical terminology appropriately.
Department Requirements
  • Department, Interventional Radiology:
    • Competently performs routine and specialized interventional radiology procedures to produce quality images to physicians and other health care providers for the diagnosis, treatment, monitoring and prevention of injury or disease.
    • Works independently, exercising sound judgment, and developed clinical skills to execute safe and precise procedures to deliver accurate results in a timely manner.
    • Gains confidence and cooperation from the patient, their family/support group, and other healthcare providers through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication.
    • Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care.
Working Conditions
  • This position may regularly work, store, prepare, receive, unpack, transport, dispose of, or administer drug(s) identified as hazardous, or potentially hazardous, by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) for purposes of USP 800.
