Position Overview:
We are currently in search of a Project Manager / Estimator to become an integral part of our esteemed HVAC Fabrication Contractor team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of projects from inception to completion. Your key responsibilities will encompass:
- Conducting project initiation meetings with team leaders to ensure a thorough understanding of project specifics and requirements, preparing them for efficient project execution.
- Collaborating with field supervisors and team leaders to guarantee timely project completion within budget constraints while upholding the highest safety standards. You will monitor progress and implement necessary adjustments to achieve project objectives.
- Coordinating with fabrication teams, field staff, subcontractors, and suppliers to optimize operations and prevent delays. It is essential to keep all stakeholders informed throughout the project lifecycle.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships to enhance labor productivity while ensuring top-quality service. You will serve as the primary contact for clients, addressing their inquiries and ensuring their satisfaction.
- Once trained, you will manage bid solicitation, provide accurate cost estimates, prepare submissions, keep team leaders updated, collaborate with colleagues, and resolve conflicts. Ensuring all documentation and estimates are accurate and timely is crucial.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Coordinate estimation projects alongside the company leadership, ensuring timely and competitive bid submissions.
- Develop and maintain robust client relationships to secure bidding opportunities. Engage with potential clients to understand their needs and position our company as the preferred service provider.
- Gain proficiency in Revit over time, utilizing this software to enhance project planning and execution, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Assist in the implementation of new software, ensuring that team members are adequately trained for a smooth transition to new tools and processes.
- Participate in light travel to enhance your knowledge of estimating software and industry tools, attending relevant training sessions and workshops to stay abreast of best practices and innovations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in HVAC / Sheet Metal project management and/or estimating.
- Proficient in estimating software and onscreen takeoff.
- Experience with Trimble Autobid Mechanical & Sheet Metal is a plus.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and equipment.
