Role Overview

At HP Hood, we are seeking a highly skilled CDL Class A driver to join our team as a Line Haul Driver. This role is responsible for delivering products between our plants and distributor/grocery accounts in a timely and safe manner.

Salary Information

We offer a competitive salary of $65,000 per year, plus an additional $10,000 sign-on bonus.

Job Responsibilities

As a Line Haul Driver, you will be responsible for:
  • Operating late model year tractors and trailers on a designated route.
  • Making inter-plant line haul deliveries, including full trailer drop & hook deliveries and occasional live unload deliveries.
  • Performing various tasks such as pushing and pulling stacks of milk, unloading trucks using a two-wheeled hand truck and a milk hook, and loading empty cases into the trailer.


Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
  • A valid CDL A license.
  • 1-2 years of commercial driving experience.
  • The ability to lift 50 lbs and push/pull up to 240 lbs frequently.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Reading and writing proficiency in the English language.
  • No major preventable accidents or personal/ professional incidents in the last 3 years.
  • An acceptable Motor Vehicle Record review.
  • No DUI in the last 10 years.
