Job Title: Cook II

We are seeking a skilled Cook II to join our team at JobsRUs. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of hot and cold food items for our clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook food to order, using a variety of kitchen equipment and techniques.
  • Operate a grill station and produce food for customers at an a la carte or buffet style.
  • Follow recipes and product directions to prepare soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other foodstuffs.
  • Prepare foods by measuring and mixing ingredients, washing, peeling, cutting, and shredding fruits and vegetables, and trimming and cutting meat, poultry, or fish.
  • Taste products, read menus, estimate food requirements, check production, and keep records to accurately plan production requirements and requisition supplies and equipment.
  • Clean and sanitize work stations and equipment, and follow all client and regulatory rules and procedures.
  • Enforce all company safety and risk management policies and procedures, and report all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.
  • Comply with all HACCP policies and procedures, and attend all allergy and foodborne illness in-service training.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • 3 to 4 years of related work experience.
  • Knowledge of basic operation of equipment and cash-handling procedures preferred.
