Job Summary:Create connections and craft exceptional experiences for guests as a Lead Bartender at Humble Spirit, a wine country restaurant in historic downtown McMinnville, Oregon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving inspired drinks while delivering distinctive experiences for our guests.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Lead Training: Train new hires and support ongoing training programs to ensure our team members have the skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional service.
- Purchasing and Inventory: Assist the management team with purchasing and inventory management to ensure we have the necessary supplies to meet our guests' needs.
- Drink Menu Creation: Participate in the creation and operational execution of our drink menu, including preparation, systems, and inventory management.
- Bar Operations: Prepare and serve liquor, mixed drinks, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic drinks for bar and restaurant patrons.
- Customer Service: Interact with customers, taking orders and serving food and drinks, while assessing their needs and preferences and making recommendations.
- Cocktail Preparation: Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails and maintain a clean and organized bar area.
- Guest Experience: Stay focused on delivering an excellent guest experience and nurture a positive atmosphere in the bar.
- Regulations and Compliance: Comply with all food and beverage regulations and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Technical Skills: Ability to perform essential functions on the computerized Point of Sale system.
- Drink Preparation: Working knowledge and ability to mix and serve a wide variety of drinks.
- Bar Equipment: Working knowledge of the proper operation of all bar equipment.
- Liquor Laws: Working knowledge of applicable liquor laws and regulations.
- Cash Handling: Working knowledge of standard cash handling procedures.
- Permits and Licenses: Current State Food Handler's License and State Mixologist Permit required.
- Education and Training: At least one year of related education, training, and/or experience.
- Drink Preparation: Extensive knowledge of drink preparation or service.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills and focus on serving customers.
- Cash Register Software: Ability to learn cash register software used by the bar or restaurant.
- Communication Skills: Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
