Laser Machinist

Operate CO2, Yag, or Flat Cut laser equipment to machine parts with precision and accuracy.

• Work from sketches, setup sheets, and related documents to ensure accurate machining.
• Start and observe laser operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining.
• Recognize and report process variations, operational sequences, and dimensional and finish deviations.
• Verify conformance of finished work piece to specifications through use of various inspection measuring equipment.
• Deburrs parts as necessary to ensure smooth finishes.
• Work under direct supervision to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Maintain or exceed production standards through efficient organization and planning.
• Follow and comply with safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Accurately complete all required documentation to ensure compliance with company standards.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED), with minimum of two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read English and understand sketches, routings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees and other company stakeholders.
• Requires ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide decimals and fractions.
