Position OverviewSummary
Pumpkin Patch Childcare and Learning Center is expanding its team. We are a family-owned childcare facility dedicated to providing a nurturing environment for young children. The Lead Infant Teacher plays a crucial role in the care, oversight, and management of the classroom, adhering to the regulations set forth by the State of Connecticut for Child Day Care Centers.
Key Responsibilities
- Exhibit exceptional leadership abilities
- Establish strong, nurturing connections with each child and foster positive relationships with families
- Ensure a safe and secure classroom atmosphere
- Support and track each child's physical, cognitive, language, and social/emotional growth
- Implement a play-based curriculum tailored to the developmental needs of infants
- Demonstrate effective organizational and planning capabilities
- Contribute to a constructive workplace culture and maintain a growth-oriented mindset
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or at least 18 years of age
- Ability to collaborate effectively with others
- Exhibit professionalism, punctuality, and reliability
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with basic computer proficiency
- Outstanding leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Must successfully complete a comprehensive background check
- Must pass a health screening
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience as a lead teacher in Early Childhood Education, particularly with infants
- Possession of a CDA or Head Teacher credential
