Position Overview

Summary

Pumpkin Patch Childcare and Learning Center is expanding its team. We are a family-owned childcare facility dedicated to providing a nurturing environment for young children. The Lead Infant Teacher plays a crucial role in the care, oversight, and management of the classroom, adhering to the regulations set forth by the State of Connecticut for Child Day Care Centers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Exhibit exceptional leadership abilities
  • Establish strong, nurturing connections with each child and foster positive relationships with families
  • Ensure a safe and secure classroom atmosphere
  • Support and track each child's physical, cognitive, language, and social/emotional growth
  • Implement a play-based curriculum tailored to the developmental needs of infants
  • Demonstrate effective organizational and planning capabilities
  • Contribute to a constructive workplace culture and maintain a growth-oriented mindset

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with others
  • Exhibit professionalism, punctuality, and reliability
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with basic computer proficiency
  • Outstanding leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Must successfully complete a comprehensive background check
  • Must pass a health screening

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a lead teacher in Early Childhood Education, particularly with infants
  • Possession of a CDA or Head Teacher credential
