Construction Management Trainee/Intern

At Smith Douglas Homes, we are committed to delivering high-quality, affordable new homes to our customers. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Management Trainee/Intern to join our team in the Raleigh, NC area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Construction Manager in ensuring the completion of homes to the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Perform routine production activities, including changing furnace filters, conducting minor silt fence repairs, and installing replacements for damaged window sashes and screens.
  • Meet with and sign off on deliveries of materials when needed.
  • Water lawns (seasonal) and maintain drive barricades.
  • Unlock and lock homes daily, and police the community to review and enforce safety regulations.
  • Install water meter location cards, oversee building and painting of permit boards, and post building permit cards.
  • Aid the Builder in ensuring job site cleanliness and attend inspections, including slab, foundation, framing, post-mechanical, and final inspections.
