Seasonal Camp Cook

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Seasonal Camp Cook to join our team at the Autism Society of North Carolina. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment, preparing and serving meals, and ensuring the overall well-being of our campers and staff.

• Food Preparation and Service: Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner for campers and staff, adhering to high standards of quality and safety.
• Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including daily cleaning tasks and refrigeration temperature checks.
• Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure seamless meal service and maintain a positive work environment.
• Autism Support: Demonstrate a willingness to learn about autism and its challenges, and provide support to campers and staff as needed.
• Training and Development: Participate in pre-service training and facility/kitchen training to ensure a comprehensive understanding of our operations.
• Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with the kitchen team, program director, and facility manager to ensure smooth operations.

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Age: Must be 17 years of age or older at the time of hire.
• Experience: One to three months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
