Job Title: Speech Therapist

Job Summary:
Lifepoint Rehabilitation is a leading provider of acute inpatient rehabilitation services with a strong focus on patient-centered care. We are seeking a skilled Speech Therapist to join our team and help our patients recover from injuries or illnesses. As a Speech Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping our patients regain their speech, language, and cognitive abilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide therapy to maximize speech, language, and cognitive abilities in adult and geriatric patients
  • Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisor and other team members
  • Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer, and accrediting requirements
  • Instruct patient's family or nursing staff in follow-through programs
  • Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Graduate of a master's level program in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Meet the education and experience requirements for Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology or Audiology
  • Minimum of six months of Speech Therapist/Speech-Language Pathologist experience working with an adult and geriatric population
  • Current and unrestricted Speech-Language Pathologist license in the state where services are rendered
  • Current CPR certification
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
