Responsibilities

The RN will:

  • Implement and oversee patient care plans.
  • Monitor, document, and communicate patient conditions as necessary.
  • Act as the primary coordinator for multidisciplinary patient care.
  • Execute physician and nursing orders effectively.
  • Assess and manage patient discharge planning needs in collaboration with the healthcare team.
Assessment and Care Planning

The RN will utilize a systematic approach to gather and analyze patient data, considering various factors such as physiological, psychological, and socio-economic elements. Key tasks include:

  • Conducting initial and ongoing assessments.
  • Identifying problems based on clinical judgment.
  • Setting measurable goals in partnership with patients and families.
Care Implementation and Evaluation

Nursing care will be delivered according to established care plans, ensuring continuity and safety. Responsibilities include:

  • Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Providing education to patients and families.
  • Documenting care accurately in patient records.

Continuous evaluation of patient status and nursing effectiveness will be essential, with adjustments made to care plans as needed.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • Licensure: A valid Arizona Nursing License or compact state license, with the ability to obtain Arizona licensure within 30 days.
  • Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and other certifications are preferred.
  • Education: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.
  • Experience: No prior experience is required.
