Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Rehabilitation Counselor II to join our team at the State of Maine. As a key member of our Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities to achieve their employment goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain counseling relationships with consumers to develop and implement personalized rehabilitation plans.
  • Collaborate with business and industry groups, employers, and community providers to advocate for clients and facilitate job placements.
  • Build and maintain partnerships within the workforce development system to ensure seamless support for clients.
  • Evaluate and interpret medical and psychological information to assess client needs and develop effective rehabilitation plans.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation using our computer-based client data system.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in a field related to vocational rehabilitation or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience demonstrating knowledge and skills in assisting individuals with disabilities, employers, and other stakeholders with their employment and workforce needs.
