Job Summary:

Northern Dauphin Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Director to oversee the maintenance and upkeep of our skilled nursing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the overall operation of the Environmental Services Department to ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective maintenance and repair strategies to minimize downtime and ensure optimal facility operations.
  • Supervise and train environmental services personnel to ensure they understand and follow established safety protocols, infection control procedures, and departmental policies.
  • Conduct regular rounds to monitor facility conditions, identify areas for improvement, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage inventory and supplies to ensure adequate stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and address any facility-related issues.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory or management role, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting.
  • Training in environmental control practices and procedures is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct staff.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on customer service and resident satisfaction.
