The Neuroscience Nurse Practitioner is a vital member of our healthcare team at CommonSpirit Health, providing exceptional patient care and clinical expertise in neurosurgery and trauma. As a seasoned nurse practitioner, you will deliver high-quality care to patients, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and contribute to the advancement of our healthcare services.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive patient care to neurosurgery and trauma patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
- Collaborate with neurosurgeons, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patient needs, preferences, and goals.
- Conduct thorough assessments, including physical exams, diagnostic tests, and laboratory results, to inform treatment decisions.
- Prescribe medications, order diagnostic tests, and perform procedures as authorized by state law and hospital policy.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical research, guidelines, and best practices in neurosurgery and trauma care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, ensuring clear and compassionate care.
Qualifications:
- Masters Degree from an accredited school of nursing.
- Three (3) years of clinical experience in neurosurgery or a related field.
- Current AZ RN license.
- Current AZ Nurse Practitioner license.
- National Certification in a Nurse Practitioner specialty (ANP, ACNP, FNP).
- Current DEA certificate.
- American Heart Association BLS.
- American Heart Association ACLS.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience as a Neuroscience NP.
- CNRN or CCRN certification.
