Job Overview

ELCO Lighting, a leading manufacturer of lighting fixtures, is seeking an experienced Senior Lighting Product Development Engineer and Product Line Manager to join their team.

This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing new lines of LED lighting fixtures for residential and commercial markets.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in LED lighting, a minimum of 5 years of experience in the lighting industry, and comprehensive knowledge of UL, CA Title 24, DOE, DLC standards, testing requirements, and procedures.

The successful candidate will be able to identify, analyze, and solve problems in the lab and in the field, and will have good oral and written communication skills.

This is a full-time position based in Vernon, California.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop new lines of LED lighting fixtures
  • Manage production quality control and inspection of manufactured fixtures
  • Coordinate with engineering and product development team to develop, analyze, and establish requirements, specifications, procedures, and other engineering documents necessary to obtain product listing through UL and government regulating agencies
  • Work with test labs to ensure timely approvals of product lines
  • Test product samples
  • Conform products to all rebate programs requirements of energy star and DLC
Requirements
  • Strong LED lighting knowledge
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working within the lighting industry
  • Comprehensive knowledge of UL, CA Title 24, DOE, DLC standards, testing requirements, and procedures
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and solve problems in the lab and in the field
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • The ability to work independently or as part of a team
