Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain physical, functional, and technical requirements for system installation efforts.
  • Complete requirements elicitation, derivation, and decomposition to ensure accurate and comprehensive system design.
  • Perform mission analysis, developing use cases, sequence diagrams, and SysML models in support of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
  • Interpret and modify engineering drawings to ensure accurate system implementation.
  • Participate as an integrated team member supporting sustainment and modernization of the GEODSS system.
  • Possess excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work harmoniously in a team environment with government customers and other contractors.
  • Ability to negotiate solutions among functional groups (Systems Engineering, Mission Engineering, Software Engineering, etc.).
  • Proven analytical and troubleshooting skills, demonstrated by related work experience.
  • Strong coordination and organization skills, with a focus on details.
  • Proficient with domain knowledge (space systems engineering, ground optical systems, general systems).
  • Participate in agile execution, MBSE, and requirements analysis.
  • Possess interpersonal leadership skills, with support to customers, including meetings and briefings.
  • Possess DoD engineering experience, System Development Life Cycle knowledge, Familiarity with DoD 5000.
  • Experience with DoD Systems Engineering artifacts (SEP, SEMP, TEMP, CMP, DMP).
  • Experience with INCOSE requirements writing guide.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or adjacent fields and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
  • Active Secret security clearance.
