We are seeking a skilled Hotel Maintenance Technician to join our team at Marriott International, Inc. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to and resolve guest repair requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Communicate effectively with guests and colleagues to resolve maintenance issues.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubrication of equipment, and visual inspections of tools and equipment.
- Identify and operate shut-off valves for equipment and utility shut-offs for buildings.
- Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and requisition parts as needed.
- Communicate daily activities and issues to other shifts using approved communication programs.
- Display knowledge and skills in areas such as air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and carpentry.
- Perform repairs on interior and exterior landscaping, as well as external landscaping sprinklers.
- Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work.
- Assist with general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Some experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation, and painting preferred.
- Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance a plus.
- Driver's license required.
- Related work experience in maintenance or a related field.
- Supervisory experience a plus.
