Soliant is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team of educational professionals in the Harrisburg, PA area. As an OT within a school setting, you'll play a vital role in providing comprehensive rehabilitation services to students facing physical, cognitive, or emotional challenges.
Your primary focus will be to empower students by assisting them in developing, regaining, or enhancing their ability to perform daily activities and achieve greater independence and overall well-being.
Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate students' physical, cognitive, sensory, and emotional capabilities and limitations.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, taking into account student goals, abilities, and preferences.
- Implement therapeutic interventions such as exercises, activities, and adaptive equipment usage to foster functional independence and enhance quality of life.
- Provide hands-on therapy and guidance to students to improve motor skills, coordination, strength, balance, and range of motion.
- Educate students, families, and caregivers on strategies and techniques to maximize independence and integrate therapy goals into daily routines.
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- Comprehensive understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology, along with knowledge of various physical, cognitive, and emotional conditions and their impact on daily functioning.
- Demonstrated experience in assessing, planning, and implementing occupational therapy interventions.
- Empathy, patience, and sensitivity to the unique needs and challenges of individuals receiving occupational therapy services.
