About the Job
We are seeking a skilled Woodcraft Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will have expertise in constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard.
Responsibilities
- Ensure a safe working environment by following established safety rules and regulations.
- Analyze project specifications to prepare project layouts and determine required materials.
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using precision tools.
- Cut and shape materials according to specifications using hand tools, machines, or power saws.
- Install structures or fixtures, such as windows, frames, flooring, trim, or hardware, using carpentry skills.
- Verify the trueness of structures using advanced measuring tools.
- Construct or repair cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, or other wooden fixtures used in buildings.
- Erect scaffolding or ladders for assembling structures above ground level.
- Inspect and identify damaged or defective structures, and recommend repairs or replacements.
- Assemble and fasten materials to make frameworks or props using hand tools and adhesives.
- Finish surfaces of woodwork or wallboard using paints, stains, or paneling.
- Develop and implement solutions to improve workflow efficiency and productivity.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in carpentry or a related field.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work at heights.
