Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psiatrist to join our team at Northern California Behavioral Health System. As a key member of our psychiatric hospital, you will be responsible for providing clinical oversight and care to patients with mental health disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients by interviewing, conducting physical examinations, and reviewing medical history.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescription of psychotropic medications.
  • Monitor and evaluate treatment results, adjusting plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Supervise staff, including Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners, to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • Completion of a psychiatric residency in an ACGME-approved program.
  • Valid California medical license and DEA certificate.
  • Board certification or eligibility in psychiatry.
  • 2 years of experience working full-time as a psychiatrist.
  • Competency restoration and/or forensics experience preferred.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, with one weekend of call per month. You will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care.
