Key Responsibilities- Cleaning and Preparing Molds: Clean molds to prepare them for production cycles, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
- Setting Up Molding Machines: Use a variety of rods, spacers, and inserts to set up molding machines to produce epoxy insulators, ranging from 21 lbs. to 40 lbs. in weight.
- Cycling and Monitoring Molding Machines: Cycle molding machines and monitor their progress while performing secondary operations such as deflashing, inspection, and packaging of finished products.
- Material Handling and Transportation: Transport tubs of inserts and finished molded parts, ensuring timely and efficient movement throughout the production process.
- Sandblasting and Painting: Perform sandblasting and painting tasks to prepare and finish epoxy parts.
- Tool Operation and Maintenance: Operate and maintain simple material handling equipment, hand tools, power tools, and gauges to check critical dimensions.
- Basic Math Skills: Ability to use basic math to perform calculations and measurements.
- Visual Inspection and Attention to Detail: Ability to work from ordinary drawings and specifications, and to use a variety of hand-held tools and air-impact tools.
