- Communicate all patient care thoroughly, objectively, and concisely, following appropriate compliance guidelines.

- Utilize the phone system to direct calls to appropriate staff and/or service areas, ensuring minimal transferring.
- Utilize the computer system accurately and efficiently for patient registration, appointment scheduling, and phone messaging.
- Communicate effectively with patients, staff, physicians, and other service areas with professionalism and follow-through.
- Accurately and discreetly schedule, reschedule, cancel, and/or confirm patient appointments with providers per department protocols.
- Apply knowledge of general insurance guidelines and requirements to direct patient care.
- Observe department conditions and activities, taking appropriate action to deliver a positive patient experience.
- Exhibit computer systems knowledge and proficiency as necessary to perform job functions.
- Respond appropriately to emergency situations.
- Take initiative to seek out tasks and duties or assist others as necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned when appropriate.
- Cross-train in other positions as determined by the manager.
- Adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant or LPN.
- Must have expanded work experience.
- Team player, professional, and customer service oriented.
- Proficient computer skills, including EMR, highly organized, ability to multi-task, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to work with a diverse patient base of all ages.
- Assist with clinical procedures specific to the department.
- Perform basic back-office skills, including medication administration, injections, bandaging, and accurately collect height, weight, and BP.
- Able to anticipate the needs of the physician and require minimal supervision.
