We are looking for a leader who can effectively communicate and collaborate with staff and the interdisciplinary team, multitask, and provide clinical expertise as needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, be able to have end-of-life conversations with patients and family members, and be a dependable team player.
The Unit Manager will oversee clinical operations of the unit, supervise staff, and interface with physicians, QI reporting, and follow-up. This unit provides care for our most clinically acute patients and residents. Typical hours are Monday through Friday day shift, with some weekend and on-call duties.
Requirements:
• Current license by the Virginia Board of Nursing to practice as a Registered Nurse.
• Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state regulations as they relate to long term care.
• Nursing Management experience preferred.
