We're seeking a highly accomplished Software Engineering Manager to join our team in Akron, OH. This pivotal role will drive the performance and productivity of our Software Engineering team, delivering impactful technical solutions across multiple projects and ongoing customer support.

The ideal candidate will excel in leadership, possess strong technical acumen, and demonstrate a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions. You will be responsible for fostering a culture of innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement within the team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Team Management: Establish overall direction and provide clear expectations for the team, proactively managing interpersonal conflict resolution, and developing effective team meetings.
  • Mentorship and Coaching: Mentor and coach all team members, utilizing motivational, development, and performance coaching strategies, conducting performance appraisals, and fostering career development.
  • Human Resource Management: Oversee the human resource needs of the team, managing the hiring process, performing salary reviews, distributing team bonuses, approving PTO requests, expense reports, and travel schedules.
  • Process Improvement: Continually review and improve team processes and project turnaround times.
