Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to proprietary frosting techniques and recipes, ensuring productivity targets are met.
  • Utilize commercial-grade mixers and pastry bags effectively to frost cakes.
  • Manage cake pre-orders and prioritize frosting tasks for walk-in customers.
  • Maintain an ample supply of samples and frosted cakes in the display case, ensuring proper inventory levels.
  • Follow guidelines for packaging, labeling, and storing frosted cakes, while keeping accurate logs.
  • Monitor frosting supply inventory and communicate with management for replenishment needs.
  • Assess baked and frosted cakes for quality assurance, reporting any discrepancies to management.
  • Keep the workstation clean and organized, preparing for the next shift and washing equipment as needed.
  • Comply with health and safety regulations, including dress code and personal hygiene standards.
  • Maintain a reliable attendance and punctuality record.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions, including recipes and safety protocols.
  • Familiarity with basic U.S. measurement units.
  • Capability to perform repetitive tasks requiring precise movements.
  • Physical ability to lift moderate to heavy items (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods.
  • Attention to detail in measurement and timing, working efficiently under pressure.
  • Skill in evaluating products and processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Self-motivated and organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks independently.

Education and Experience:
  • Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
  • While no formal education is required, experience in a bakery, restaurant, or food service setting is advantageous.

Availability:

Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, and holidays, is essential to meet the demands of the business. Part-time positions are available.
