Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse in Surgical Services, you will apply the nursing process to provide high-quality patient care. You will teach patients and their significant others, document patient care, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate overall patient care.

Responsibilities:
• Apply the nursing process to provide patient care within the scope of practice defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
• Teach patients and their significant others to promote health and well-being.
• Document patient care in the medical record.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.

Requirements:
• Recent acute care hospital experience in the operating room.
• Associate's degree in nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Oregon.
• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at employment.
• American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Operating room experience within the past two years or graduation from an accredited perioperative program preferred.

Certification Requirements:
• ACLS (AHA)
• BLS (AHA)
• CEN
• TNCC

State License Requirements:
• Oregon

Weekend and On-Call Requirements:
• Possible
